One of the side effects of moving my content from my old site over here is revisiting old posts such as this one. The topic of bullying, in particular about weight, strikes a chord with me and is something the Obesity Action Coalition actively advocates against.

I originally found this video back in 2013, at the time there was a website dedicated to it and to issues of bullying, that unfortunately no longer seems to be around. But fortunately, the video itself still is. The video itself is based on a spoken word poem written by Shane Koyczan called “To This Day” and explores the profound and lasting impact that bullying can have on an individual.

My experiences with violence in schools still echo throughout my life but standing to face the problem has helped me in immeasurable ways.
