try, try again

When planning a trip to the outdoors, it can help to have a backup plan. And a backup to the backup. We had planned to go out to the coast with some friends, but the volcano eruption near Tonga sent tsunami warning all the way up the Pacific coast. So instead we were going to go to Murhut Falls and Ranger Hole… but too much snow on the forest road kept us from making it up the forest road to MurHut. We did stop at Ranger Hole, but downed trees from the recent snow storms closed most of the trails off. We did a small loop (first couple photos) before heading further up the Hood Canal to Dosewallips State Park. No snow, just lots of fog which made for a fun trek. It gave the woods a real fun vibe.
